Two Socks Do Not Make A Pair...
This is what happens when one sock lingers on the needles - you get bored with it & itchy to cast on something new.
The top sock: The Rockin' Sock Club March Kit: "Rogue Roses" designed by the Yarn Harlot.
The bottom sock: Shur'tagal socks - the sock pattern for the 2nd quarter Socks That Rawk KAL on Ravelry.
Both socks are fun to knit. The difference? The Shur'tagal took me forever to finish! I finished the Rogue Roses sock in 2 days. I think that's the fastest I've ever finished one sock. Perhaps it's the medium weight yarn difference and the long stretches of stockinette.
I can't believe it's been a month since I've posted - shame on me. I'll employ the usual spring time excuses:
1) Traveled to Atlanta with my state champion FTC robotics team. While we didn't win, we didn't come in last either & the kids learned lots of valuable things to help them next season.
2) The JV soccer season is in full swing - 3 games alone in the next 4 days.
3) The pesky job (which I do love) keeps me busy. However, school is out in less than a month (the day before Memorial Day weekend) Squee!!
4) Standard family stuff - what do you mean the house won't clean itself? I think next year my robotics team needs to design a robot that will fold and put away laundry - now that would be functional!!
Okay - this post is short; not much to report on the knitting front & hubby is yelling at me to come down & watch the Champions League semifinals between Chelsea (GO!!!) and Bacelona (Go home..)
More knitting details later...
Ciao ~
